All dogs are different but have the common natural instinct to chew.
Size, age, breed and chewing style all factor in when it comes to the perfect chewing experience. The right size supports dental health, keeps your dog engaged longer and reduces waste.
And let’s be honest—a happy dog means a happy human.
Choosing the right size isn't an exact science - but our guide will help to match your dog with its ideal Bonno Chew.

Why size matters
The right sized Bonno chew is the best way to give your dog the best and long lasting chewing experience. It lets your dog grip comfortably, gnaw confidently, and savour every session.
If Bonno is too small, your dog will easily and quickly destroy the chew, or it can become a choking hazard. Your dog might be able to pull large and thick strips off its Bonno. If Bonno is too big for your dog, it could lose interest as it simply cannot chew it.
Correct sizing maximises the chew's lifespan—no one wants a chew demolished a short time or ignored altogether.
Start with your dogs's size and weight,

(up to 5.5kg)

(5.5-10kg)

(10-15kg)

(15-25kg)

(25kg plus)
and then chews wisely:
-
Upsize one size for strong chewers, possibly two for extreme chewers.
-
What size of other chews have you chosen and given your dog, and that size was a good fit.
-
Consider to downsize for senior dogs, or dogs with fragile teeth.
-
Are other sized dogs in the household that could get hold of the chew.
-
Bonno chews may not be suitable for extreme chewers if you cannot choose the right size for your dog.
-
A smaller size may be suitable if your dog is a brachycephalic breed characterized by shortend or flattened skull with a shorter snout and jaw.
Picking the right-sized Bonno chew means safer play, happier pups, and less waste.
Too small? Easy destruction.
Too big? Dogs might give up or get frustrated.
But the perfect fit? That’s where the magic happens—comfortable, satisfying, and slow destruction.
